(MENAFN) Accor’s managing director, Christophe Landais, said that by 2014, the French hotel management company would double its presence in the UAE, reported The National.
Landais added that most of the investments the company would launch would be located in Abu Dhabi with new five hotels there, furthermore, by the year 2014; Accor would open an additional 11 hotels that would include 3,500 rooms.
He also said that the company had 14 hotels in the UAE with around 4,000 rooms, it also had other five properties under development in the country, two Novotel properties, an Adagio hotel apartment building, a Sofitel on the Corniche, expected to open in 2011, and a hotel under its Ibis budget hotel brand.
It is worth noting that Accor brands include Ibis, Novotel and Sofitel, it runs 55 hotels in the Middle East, with an additional 21 under construction that are expected to open by 2014.
