(MENAFN) The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution’s (Adnoc-Fod) director general, Abdullah Al Dahiri, said that following a tempporary closure in some of Enoc petrol stations in the Northern Emirates, Ednoc would boost petrol shipments to Saqr port in Ras Al Khaimah, reported Emirates 24/7.
Al Dahiri added that demand in the Northern Emirates rose at its 59 pumps by around 45 percent over the past weeks due to the closure of some petrol pumps in the area since they were under maintenance.
He also said that Adnoc-Fod would send more tankers by land and pump additional petrol quantities through pipelines from its refineries to the eastern town of Al Ain.
It is worth noting that Adnoc-Fod, the refining arm of Adnoc, manages around 194 petrol stations, including 135 in Abu Dhabi. By the end of next year, the company is planning to establish 234 new petrol stations through the UAE.
