(MENAFN) Ibrahim Mohamed Jaidah, managing director of Arab Engineering Bureau (AEB) said lately that breaking ground operations for the USD1.37 billion Doha Festival City project will start within days, Arabian Business reported.
The project, developed by Dubai’s Al-Futtaim Group, is one of the first mega projects to get underway as a result of Qatar’s successful bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2020 tournament.
It will be constructed on Al Shamal Road, one of the main arterial routes to the city centre and connecting Doha with Bahrain, on a 433,847sqm area that includes entertainment, retail, hospitality and commercial facilities.
Arab Engineering Bureau (AEB) was founded 50 years ago in Qatar and currently has 400 staff.
