27 Feb 2011

(MENAFN) The head of commercial department at Air Arabia, A.K. Nizar, said that the airline is increasing the number of its flights to Doha, Qatar’s capital, from the company’s main center in Sharjah, reported Gulf News.

Nizar said that the carrier currently operates 2 fights every day to the Qatari city. The number of direct flights per week increased from 10 to 14, he said.

Nizar added that the airline launched its first service to Doha in 2009. Air Arabia had been witnessing rising demand ever since.

It is worth noting that the carrier’s passenger traffic between the two cities amounted to 153,000 in 2010.
