(MENAFN) Saudi pipes manufacturers Amiantit has suspended its activities in Bahrain from November 15 due to the global recession, Akhbar Al-Khaleej reported.
The company was due to invest $61 million in Bahrain. Amiantit Bahrain Holding Company had three manufacturing companies in Bahrain,
including fibreglass reinforced polyester pipes factory and fibreglass epoxy pipes factory, located on 60,000 square metres.
The production was due to start early next year, with a capacity of 24,000 tons of fibreglass and 6,000 tons of epoxy, Akhbar Al Khaleej added.
