(MENAFN) Aramex founder and chief executive, Fadi Ghandour, said that the company bought out the Irish Aquaship Agencies, a liner agent and freight-forwarding company based in Dublin, reported The National.
Ghandour said that this deal would grant the courier exposure to markets in Ireland, the US, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America.
He noted that this would lead to a cut in costs as the company would not have to operate from its Middle East headquarters.
It is worth noting that this acquisition is Aramex’s second in Ireland after its acquisition of Two Way, a leading freight and logistics operators in Ireland, in 2006.
