(MENAFN) A spokesperson of the Austrian Airlines (AUA) expressed the carrier’s dissatisfaction regarding permission granted to Emirates Airlines to increase its landing rights in Vienna, reported Arabian Business.
In addition, the spokesperson said that the AUA is demanding governmental compensation as competition would now become unfair after Emirates almost doubled its flights to Vienna to 13 per week.
The spokesperson added that some fees including domestic flight ticket taxes and costs related to carbon dioxide emissions would not be imposed on Emirates, which would make competition unfair.
