(MENAFN) Bahrain Air’s managing director, Captain Ebrahim Al Hamer, said that the carrier planned to raise the number of its flights to Dubai to 21 flights a week, reported Gulf News.
Al Hamer added that since the airline would increase its market share in Dubai, starting 2012, Bahrain Air would introduce 3 weekly flights to the emirate instead of the current twice a week service.
He also said that by mid-2012, the carrier would add 3 routes to its current 15 in the Middle East and sub-continent, nevertheless, Al Hamer declined to provide details about the new destinations.
It is worth noting that from February to June, Bahrain Air’s sales went down 65 percent as a result of the country’s political upheaval.
