(MENAFN) Bahrain-based Alba and Sapa have signed a three-year agreement to supply a significant quantity of extrusion billets to Sapa Profiles group in Europe, Gulf News reported.
The deal was a result of Alba and Sapa working closely together since the end of 2009 to develop a strong business relationship to supply extrusion ingots.
At the end of April, Alba was invited to participate in Sapa’s global strategic sourcing program where Sapa consolidated their purchases between a select group of suppliers and source larger volumes over a multi-year basis.
Sapa, which currently operates around 45 plants in Europe, North America and Asia, is regarded as the largest extruder in the world, with a global capacity of more than 900,000 metric tons per annum.
