Bahrain hotels rates down to attract vistors

24 Apr 2011

(MENAFN) Bahraini hotels reported major deductions of hotel fares as they are trying in vain to boost the tourism and hotel sector that was crippled by the recent political unrest that took over the country, reported Arabian Business.

Some travel agents said that some GCC nationals were attracted by the new offers, as five star hotels slashed their rates to as low as USD130 for bed and breakfast.

The majority of recent visitors were Saudis.

It is worth noting that the cancellation of major event in the Kingdom, including the formula one grand prix is taking its toll on the tourism sector in the Kingdom, which affected the Bahraini economy tremendously lately.
