Bahraini investors to set up $27m poultry firm

(MENAFN) Gulf Daily News reported that preparations are in full swing to establish a private poultry company in Bahrain as part of a $26.5 million investment project.

The new firm is expected to produce up to 10 million chickens per annum and meet a substantial portion of consumers’ needs at affordable prices.

Bahraini Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro received Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry food committee chairman Ibrahim Al Daissi, who updated him on the project.

Investors include Bahrain Poultry Farmers’ Society chairman Hamza Al Madhoub, deputy chairman Ahmed Al Dawood, secretary-general Ibrahim Al Khair and BCCI food committee member Sami Zainal.
