Bahrain’s money supply growth accelerates to 9.7%

(MENAFN) Bahrain’s M3 money supply growth accelerated to 9.7 percent year-on-year at the end of May, the highest increase in 13 months, after a 9.5 per cent rise in April, Reuters reported.

The Gulf country’s central bank data showed that the growth in M3 decelerated rapidly from its peak of 39 per cent in March 2008 to almost zero in October last year, but has since started to rise again, it added.
