(MENAFN) Bangladesh foreign ministry stated that a new accord was signed with Qatar for the importing of four million tons of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)to meet the local demand in Bangladesh, reported Gulf Times.
The agreement was signed by the Qatari Minister of State for Energy & Industry Affairs, HE Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, and Mohamed Mosbah Eldeen, Bangladesh�s secretary of energy.
Dr. Al-Sada said this deal has the cost of $1 to $1.5 billion on an annual basis. The current number for gas demand in Bangladesh currently stands at 2,500 million cubic foot per day.
