(MENAFN) The Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA) chairman Dr. Hassan Fakhro said that the authority was able to generate profit for the third year in a row, reported Gulf Daily News.
Fakhro said that BECA in 2010 signed 114 booking agreements, 83 of which for exhibitions, conferences and various meetings in addition to 31 agreements for miscellaneous functions.
In addition, Fakhro said that the company rented gross space at a total of 2.3 million square meters, which is 26 percent more than that reported in 2009.
Fakhro added that BECA was able to days of space rental to a total of 612 days in 2010, up from 608 days reported a year earlier.
