(MENAFN) The UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) said that the BlackBerry smartphone services would stay active in the country, reported Arabian Business.
The authority elaborated saying that all BlackBerry services in the UAE would remain available and offered to both companies and individuals.
The authority added that it would discuss and clarify with du and Etisalat the details of the new regulations for BlackBerry services.
It is worth noting that deep confusion took place in the UAE regarding BlackBerry services, as authorities saw the lack of monitoring over BlackBerry servers as a security threat.
