(MENAFN) Research In Motion’s Middle East director of product management, Mike al Mefleh, said that the company’s most recent gadget, the PlayBook, would probably be in the UAE market by mid-June, reported The National.
Al Mefleh said that the final retail pricing was not decided upon yet for the PlayBook, however, he estimated there would be a premium of about USD100 on US list prices, for the 16GB and 32GB models, respectively, while ho could not give any estimation at the time for the 64GB.
The director added that the marketing of the PlayBook will start in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and then the new device would be introduced to the rest of the region. This way Research In Motion would be following the same marketing campaign it used when the BlackBerry was first launched.
