(MENAFN) Reiner Braun, Director Sales & Marketing at BMW Group Middle East, announced that sales in the Middle East (ME) region during 2010 reached 17,119 vehicles, registering an 18 percent surge, and hitting a record high since it commenced operations in the region in 1994, Trade Arabia reported.
According to Braun, Abu Dhabi was the highest volume market, where sales increased 39 percent with 3,316 cars; Dubai reported growth of 19 percent with 3,567 cars; Saudi Arabia registered an 18 percent increase with 3,014 cars; Syria by 25 percent with 1,098 cars; and Oman with 18 percent and 696 cars.
The premium automotive manufacturer revealed that its flagship BMW 7 Series model remained the top selling model, with 4,882 cars sold, a 6 percent increase in sales, said Braun.
