(MENAFN) Carolyn McCall, Chief Executive Officer at easyJet, the UK’s largest low-cost airlines, said that it has launched a new route to Jordan, which will commence in March of the upcoming year, Jordan Times reported.
According to McCall, easyJet will operate three flights a week between Amman and London Gatwick Airport, with tickets sold at competitive prices, starting from $164.77, including tax.
The announcement follows an open skies agreement between Jordan and the EU, whereas the regular flights are expected to boost tourism from the United Kingdom; the second largest European market for Jordan, and accelerate the competitiveness of the airline industry as a whole, explained the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Zeid Goussous.
