DIFC, DTCM ink hotel licensing deal

(MENAFN) Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, Chief Executive Officer at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), said that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), in a bid to encourage institutional integration to provide efficiency and better service for hotel establishments within the Centre, Khaleej Times reported.

According to Al Awar, the MoU will enhance the strategic cooperation between the two entities and will facilitate licensing for hotels based in DIFC. Additionally it will allow DTCM to supervise the performance of hotels in DIFC through periodic inspections to ensure adherence to international standards.

The mentioned MoU was signed between Al Awar and DTCM’s Director General Khalid Ahmed bin Sulayem.
