(MENAFN) Doha International Airport (DIA) said that by the end of this month it would open Terminal B for foreign carriers’ flights, reported Emirates 24/7.
DIA added that Terminal A, which was operating as the check-in area of the Transfer and Departures terminal, would be dedicated only for the national carrier, Qatar Airways, since it would continue to expand rapidly.
It also said that Terminal B, which would span over 2,000 square meters, would be used for over 30 foreign carriers operating from Doha; moreover, it was established on the site of the previous arrivals terminal at DIA.
It is worth noting that the new terminal will include an enlarged check-in area with 35 counters, with an online check-in lounge, a dedicated customer service desk for oversized luggage, a currency exchange bureau, ATM machines, a new high-tech baggage handling system, and food and beverage outlets.
