(MENAFN) Dubai’s Drake & Scull International (DSI) said it won contracts worth $65.4 million for two Abu Dhabi projects, bringing its deal wins for the year to $381 million, Gulf News reported.
The first contract is for Saadiyat Beach Apartments project, developed by the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC), on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island, the company said. Completion of the project is scheduled for December 2011 with Drake handling supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electro-mechanical works.
The other MEP contract is for a governmental building project, which will be completed by June 2012, covering a total built-up area of 106,670 square meters, it said.
Drake said earlier in June it will focus on middle and upper range projects to protect profit margins, as it faces fierce competition for work in Abu Dhabi.
