(MENAFN) Emirate Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has signed an agreement worth $109 million with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to upgrade its mobile network operations in the UAE. Khaleej Times reported.
Hatem Bamatraf, senior vice president of network development at du, said the project aims to enhance the company?s network performance and operations in an ongoing strategy for mobile network development.
The project is expected to improve coverage, and enhance communication in services such as internet browsing, email, mobile TV, voice and video mail among other value added services, said Bamatraf.
Kalle Autto, head of du customer team at (NSN) stated that the project will provide a better service quality, wider range of applications for its subscribers and a network with speeds of up to 42Mb.
