(MENAFN) The Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) stated that business licenses issued in this year’s first quarter went up by 6 percent, quarter on quarter, totaling to 3,224 licenses, reported Arabian Business.
As for totals, DED said that all transactions conducted in the first quarter amounted to 117,533, up from 103,067 registered a quarter before. DED said that this shows a fourteen percent quarter-on-quarter increase.
DED added that commercial permits totaled to 14,503 in the first quarter, increasing 33 percent quarter-on-quarter.
It is worth noting that growth in the number of licenses is considered an indication of a boost in performance of the economy, in addition to better investor confidence.
