Dubai, Egypt bourses negotiate dual listing

16 May 2011

(MENAFN) Essa Kazim, the chairman of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and the chairman of Bourse Dubai, the owner of the DFM, said that DFM and Egypt’s stock exchange are currently negotiating ways to boost dual listing that would allow investors buy and sell shares in the two markets, reported The National.

Kazim said that this move aims at enhancing cash liquidity at the two markets which have been facing challenges with attracting large investments.

The chairman added that a flexible dual listing framework would have major Dubai-based companies list in EGX and vice versa, thus stimulating trade volume at the two bourses.
