(MENAFN) Figures from the UAE’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), published by the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC) revealed that by September-end of 2010, 1,029,634 vehicles were registered in Dubai, against 624,462 vehicles, year on year, registering a 65 percent surge, Arabian Business reported.
The mentioned figures include both new and renewed registrations, whereas passenger vehicles represented the bulk of registrations, accounting for 86 percent of listed vehicles and representing a rise of 68 percent compared to the corresponding period a year earlier.
Data also showed that the number of motorcycles registered in Dubai, doubled to 18,883, up from 9,223 in 2009.
