Egypt considers deadline extension for USD2.6b projects

(MENAFN) The senior adviser to the Egyptian Ministry of Finance and director for the public private partnership central unit, Rania Zayed, said that the country is considering extending bid submission deadlines for four USD2.55 infrastructure projects of the program of its public private partnership (PPP), reported Arab News.

Zayed said that the decision to extent bid submission deadlines has to be discussed with the prime minister of Egypt.

The adviser said that the projects include the construction of roads, hospitals and water sewage plants in Egypt.

Currently, the deadline for bid submission for the hospitals project expires in March 2011, for roads the deadline is May and water sewage plant projects deadline’s is August.
