Emirates Airline to receive new Boeing 777 aircraft in 2012

(MENAFN) Boeing Company said that assembly work on its 1,000 Boeing 777 plane, which would be handed over to Emirates Airline in March of next year, started, reported Gulf News.

The company added that the UAE carrier, which had 95 planes of Boeing 777 in its fleet, was Boeing’s largest client for 777 aircrafts, adding that the new aircraft would be the airline’s number 102.

The plane maker also said that around 64 carriers worldwide ordered 1,295 777 aircrafts, indicating that the model became the preferred airplane in the world.

It is worth noting that Emirates fleet includes more than 160 widebodied aircrafts serving around 115 destinations in 67 countries in the six continents.
