(MENAFN) Emirates’ vice president for Saudi Arabia, Adil Al-Ghaith, said that the carrier would operate its first A380 service to Riyadh on the Kingdom’s National Day on Sept. 23, reported Arab News.
Al-Ghaith added that the service would operate as a commercial flight, which would give clients the opportunity to be on the inaugural A380 service to Riyadh, in addition, the plane would be the first superjumbo to land on King Khaled International Airport.
He also said that the carrier’s flight EK817 would leave Dubai at 4:55 p.m. on Sept. 23 and would arrive in Riyadh at 5:45 p.m. on the same day, whereas the return flight, EK818, would depart the Kingdom’s capital at 8:45 p.m. arriving in Dubai at 11:25 p.m. the same day.
It is worth noting that since February of last year, the A380 has been operational between Jeddah and Dubai with strong demand from business and leisure travelers in both directions.
