(MENAFN) Etihad Airways’s revenues jumped 39 percent to USD1.1 billion year-on-year in the third quarter, thanks to higher passenger numbers, reported Khaleej Times.
The Abu Dhabi airline passenger handling rose 18 percent to 2.25 million passengers in the third quarter from 1.9 million transported a year ago.
Seat factor registered the highest quarterly increase in its history by 3.8 per cent to 80.7 per cent. Also the airline has 81 per cent of its fuel hedged for the rest of 2011.
Etihad Crystal Cargo also posted good revenues revenue of USD37 million to USD168 million in the same quarter, against USD131 million a year ago, supported by a 16 per cent year-on-year growth in tonnage and a 10 per cent year-on-year increase in average yields.
