(MENAFN) A statement issued by Emirates Telecommunications Company (Etisalat) said that the company made $542.8 million net profit in the first quarter of the year, TradeArabia reported.
The firm’s condensed consolidated interim financial results showed that Etisalat’s net revenue grew by $103.18 million, a 5 percent increase, to reach $2.15 billion. This compares to $2.04 billion during the corresponding period a year earlier. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) was $0.068 in the first quarter.
The telecom firm said that its mobile subscription numbers in the three-month period surged to 7.71 million, while the fixed-line subscribers reached 1.3 million. Its Internet customers were recorded at 1.38 million, according to the statement.
