(MENAFN) Flydubai CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said that the carrier would start flying twice a week to Sohag in Egypt starting from early April, reported Arabian business.
Al Ghaith said that the new destination would be in place of Assiut. He also said that flights to Alexandria and Luxor would resume as scheduled.
Al Ghaith said that even though only a short time passed since former president Hosni Mubarak was ousted, business travel to Egypt is still active and must be maintained at full capacity.
It is worth noting that the low cost carrier had also announced new flights to Port Sudan, its second destination in Sudan following a service to Khartoum.
