France to invest $398m in Haiti

(MENAFN) French Ambassador to Haiti Didier Le Bret said that Paris is planning to invest about $398 million in Haiti during the coming two years, AFP reported.

.Le Bret pointed out that France will aid the country on education, infrastructure and attraction of foreign investments.

He said the government of France allowed $49 million to ease Haiti?s budget after the earthquake on Jan. 12, which killed at least 300,000 people.

Le Bret and Dominican Republic representative to Haiti Ronald Ruveltrand headed the donation of a convoy of 112 vehicles for the Haitian Police at the Haina port in the east of the Dominican Republic.
