(MENAFN) UAE’s Minister of Labor, Saqr Ghobash, said that in order to create more job opportunities for the citizens of the GCC countries, the council would execute national strategy to put the plans into effect, reported Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Ghobash added that the gulf countries started implementing policies to encourage national employment opportunities in each country in the GCC, in addition to ease the labor movement between the GCC’s countries within the framework of the Gulf common Market.
He also said that the gulf countries were keen to accomplish their obligations to the principle of the removal of discrimination and in accord with the two international work conventions number 100 and 111, where most of GCC countries endorsed convention 111 and others endorsed convention 100.
It is worth noting that the GCC countries fortified its programs to develop women’s role and boost their political, social and economic position and increase their participation in the labor market without discrimination.
