GE to hire 1,000 Saudis

(MENAFN) General Electric-Saudi Vice Chairman John Krenicki, said that the company’s GE Energy Manufacturing Technology Center (GEMTEC) would recruit over 2,000 employees, 1,000 of which to be Saudis, reported Arab News.

GEMTEC is a SR1 billion center and was launched recently under the patronage of Prince Muhammad bin Fahd. The center was developed in Dammam’s 2nd Industrial City.

Krenicki said that the center has the capacity to provide support services for Europe and Africa, in addition to the Kingdom.

GE aims for the center to become a regional hub for the energy industry.
