(MENAFN) German Mayor Klaus Wowereit said that his country is eager to strengthen its trade ties with Saudi Arabia, reported Arab News.
Wowereit was in the kingdom in a trade visit organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berlin and Riyadh-based German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO) as well as the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
The German Mayor said that Saudi Arabia’s imports from Berlin increased by 600 percent to USD364.33 million from USD56.36 million in the past ten years.
The RCCI inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Berlin’s chamber in an attempt to enhance trade, industrial and economic ties, Wowereit said.
