(MENAFN) General Motors said that it will recall more than 6,000 vehicles in the Middle East over potential problems with the steering column and fuel hoses.
The Detroit-based car giant warned owners of Chevrolet Captiva and GMC Terrain vehicles that the steering shaft may separate from the column while the car is being driven, without giving further details.
About 5,262 Chevrolet Captiva and 916 GMC Terrain cars will be recalled for repairs, the manufacturer said in a statement.
Owners of Chevrolet Cruze vehicles will also be affected by the recall. A fault with the fuel feeding hose in the car has been identified, which could potentially cause a fuel leak.
Some 2,262 cars are to be recalled for repairs, General Motors said, adding that all customers will be informed of the call-back.
