Hiring expands in the Middle East

17 Jul 2011

(MENAFN) Antal’s chief executive and country manager in the UAE, Nizar Lallani, stated that despite the political uproar sweeping the region, hiring in the Middle East hiked to about 34 percent in the last three months, reported the National.

Lallani also said that 59 percent of Arab firms aimed to hire new employees at the mid-to-senior level compared to last quarter’s 46 percent. He added that these new vacancies rates surpassed some developed countries employment ranges like the UK, the US, and Germany.

He noted that many companies in countries which went through turmoil such as Egypt, closed due to rising demonstration, thus they offered more and more jobs.

It is worth noting that the UAE comes in the fifth place after the Philippines, India, China, Brazil and Slovakia in hiring professional and managerial positions.
