Iraq boosts oil exports to 1.912 bpd

(MENAFN) The head of the State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO), Falah Alamri, said that during November, Iraq’s oil exports climbed slightly from 1.9 million barrels per day (bpd) to 1.912 million bpd, Reuters reported.

Opec member Iraq aims to boost its output capacity to 12 million bpd in seven years from the current 2.5, rivaling top oil producer Saudi Arabia, and has already signed contracts with international oil companies in order to do so, added Alamri

According to Alamri, Iraq�s oil exports are expected to continue rising within the upcoming months. He did not give further details.
