(MENAFN) The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) inked an agreement to implement a project aiming at improving the quality and productivity of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Kingdom, Petra reported.
JEDCO CEO Yarub Qudah said that the project KAIZEN aims to build bridges between different levels of management, create true partnership between workers and owners and enhance productivity to launch new investments.
The project is expected to get underway later this year and last for 30 months at a number of small and medium enterprises across the Kingdom.
Kaizen (Japanese for improvement or change for the better) refers to philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes in manufacturing, engineering, supporting business processes, and management.
