(MENAFN) Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways chairman, Marwan Boodai, said that the aviation company’s net profit in the final two quarters of 2010 stood at USD7.15 million, reported Gulf Daily News.
Boodai said that the company suffered losses in the first two quarters of 2010 like many other operators as fuel prices continue to climb. But he said that the company was able to counter these issues and reverse results in the second half of the year.
The chairman said that these results hit a first time record for the company’s half results since 2008.
The chairman added that even though profit increased in the second half, the low-cost carrier still suffered from net loss of USD10 million for the full year of 2010.
