Jordanian Electric Power reports $5m loss in H1

(MENAFN) Jordanian Electric Power Company (JEPCO) has announced a $5 million loss during the first six months of this year compared to a $550,000 loss during the same period of last year, Petra news agency reported.

The company said in a statement disclosed on the website of the Amman Stock Exchange that power purchases during the first half of 2010 rose to $292 million from $280 million in the first half of 2009.

JEPCO showed that total shareholders equity and liabilities reached $697 million by the end of June compared to $686 million by the end of 2009.
