KBR wins Saudi Jazan refinery contract

(MENAFN) The Downstream President of the American construction company KBR, John Quinn, said that the company won the Jazan refinery contract, which includes providing front-end engineering and design and project management services, reported Arab News.

Quinn said that the Jazan refinery project, which is estimated to produce 400,000 barrels of crude everyday, was granted to KBR by the Saudi-based company, Aramco.

Quinn said that KBR would be responsible for developing the process design, layout, integration and optimization of the facility. Also it would take responsibility for developing equipment and material specifications, preparing EPC bid packages and developing an estimate for the construction of the refinery.
