Kuwait bans German, Spanish veggie imports

(MENAFN) Head of the food safety committee at Kuwait Municipality Kuwait, Mohammad Ghazai Al-Otaibi, announced that the country banned imports of fruit and vegetable, both fresh and frozen, from Germany and Spain as a precaution against the spreading of E.coli bacteria, reported KUNA.

The statement comes after death incident in the two Eropean countries totaled went up to 32. While a total of 4,000 people have become ill with the bacteria

It is worth noting that the UAE and Qatar had taken banning decisions earlier this month.
