(MENAFN) Kuwait and Syrian signed five agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on attracting foreign investments and developing exports, Kuna reported.
A cooperation protocol, signed by the two sides, aims at attracting direct foreign investment, he said. He added that it was directed towards encouraging bilateral visits between Kuwaiti and Syrian investment officials and establishing a follow-up committee to pave the way for the implementation of the protocol.
Bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy and commerce will continue in order to enhance commercial exchange and trade balance, he said, while stressing the significant role of the private sector in boosting cooperation.
