(MENAFN) Kuwait’s third telecoms operator Viva, an affiliate of Saudi Telecom Co, said that it has signed a $270 million financing deal with China’s Huawei Technologies, Kuna reported.
The five-year deal will be used to finance the firm’s network expansion, Viva said in a statement issued in Kuwait.
Viva, which was launched in 2008, competes with Zain and National Mobile Telecommunications Co (Wataniya), a unit of Qatar Telecommunications Co.
