Kuwaiti crude exports to Japan declines in Oct

(MENAFN) Official data showed that Kuwaiti crude exports to Japan declined 33.3 percent in October from a year earlier to 211,000bpd, KUNA reported.

Japanese Natural Resources and Energy Agency said that Kuwait supplied 6.2 percent of Japan’s total crude imports in October, compared with 9.3 percent a year earlier and 8.9 percent in September.

Japan’s total crude imports rose 0.2 percent year-on-year for the second consecutive month in October.

Saudi Arabia’s crude exports to Japan rose 13.2 percent from a year earlier, followed by the UAE by 2.3 percent, while Qatar ranked third, with shipments rising 0.1 percent.

Farouk Al-Zanki, CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Company, said that 20 percent of Kuwait’s total oil revenues comes from Japan.
