Kuwait’s nominal GDP falls 21.2% in 2009

(MENAFN) Kuwait’s nominal gross domestic product fell 21.2 percent last year, following a 22.7 percent rise in 2008, according to central bank data.

The nominal GDP of Kuwait, the world’s fourth largest oil exporter, dropped to $109.6 billion in 2009, from $140 in the previous year, the Central Bank of Kuwait said.

It is worth mentioning that Kuwait is the world’s fourth biggest producer.
