Kuwait’s Wataniya reports decline in Q3 profits

(MENAFN) Kuwait’s National Mobile Telecommunications Company, Wataniya Telecom, reported a profit of $189.2 million for the nine months that ended September 30, 2010, compared to profit that amounted to $342.9 million a year earlier, Kuwait Times reported.

The Company’s statement issued to the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) showed that total equity amounted to $1.76 billion for the nine months ending this year, compared to $1.69 billion for the same period last year.

It added that total assets amounted to $3.2 billion, while total liabilities amounted to $1.48 billion in September 30 compared to total liabilities amounting to $1.39 billion for the same period last year.
