(MENAFN) Lebanon and Turkey have signed an agreement for the formation of a free-trade zone, in addition to discussions related to the formation of a joint strategic cooperation committee, Kuna reported.
This came during talks held between Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and his visiting Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Hariri said that the step marks a new starting point and flourishing development of economic relations between both countries.
For his part, Turkey’s Erdogan pledged his country support of Lebanese stability, expressing delight at the trade developments between both countries.
