Libya places $132m jet order with Bombardier

11 Oct 2010

(MENAFN) Bombardier Inc announced that it has received a $131.5 million order from Tripoli-based Libyan African Aviation Holding Company for three regional jets, Reuters reported.

The company also took options for three more of the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, which if converted to firm orders would increase the value of the deal to $267.8 million.

The jets will be operated by Libyan Airlines, which currently operates three CRJ900 and two CRJ900 NextGen aircraft in a two-class configuration with seven business class and 68 economy seats.

Canada-based Bombardier is the world’s third biggest civil aircraft maker and top train manufacturer.
